As a comprehensive university with interdisciplinary and diverse faculty, offers medical students a variety of elective courses from other colleges. These courses encompass social, humanistic, ethical education, and general education (such as language courses, aesthetics and cultural interpretation, philosophy and moral thinking, citizenship and global perspectives, technology and society, natural environment and ecological sustainability, experiential courses, etc.).

       Under the influence of humanistic and service-learning courses, infused with local culture and strengthened local connections, students develop a strong sense of identity and enthusiasm for service. This cultivates healthcare professionals who "care for their homeland, serve society, and value medical ethics," driving regional healthcare innovation through professionalism and commitment.

       At Si Wan College, there are existing general education courses in humanities, moral cultivation, and service, such as language courses, aesthetics and cultural interpretation, philosophy and moral thinking, citizenship and global perspectives, technology and society, natural environment and ecological sustainability, experiential courses, etc. The table below lists the current general education courses that exist across the entire university and are relevant to medical humanities. These courses have hired dedicated faculty and are being taught steadily. In the upcoming academic year, one afternoon per week will be designated without departmental courses, allowing students to freely choose and enroll in four-credit elective courses toward graduation requirements.
