Goals

1. Enhancing the Quality of Medical Education: Ensuring the instructional quality of medical
education courses to cultivate outstanding professionals in the field of medicine. This includes
incorporating innovative teaching methods, introducing scenario-based simulation training
techniques, and enhancing hands-on practical experiences.
2. Promoting Medical Ethics and Humanistic Care: Providing relevant training and courses to
enable both teachers and medical students to adapt to ethical challenges, develop effective
communication skills, and respect diverse cultures and values. Nurturing the core competencies
of holistic healthcare in medical students, fostering virtues such as empathy and altruistic care,
while also instilling awareness and concern for environmental, marine ecology (SDG 14),
terrestrial ecology (SDG 15) conservation, and contributing to addressing climate change and
global warming (SDG 13).
3. Promoting Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Facilitating collaboration across different fields,
including medicine, humanities, and social sciences, to encourage knowledge exchange and
joint research projects, fostering diverse partnerships (SDG17). Establishing communities for
teachers' professional growth and constructing medical humanities education programs,
encouraging interdisciplinary initiatives in the healthcare industry and innovations in medical
education and medical humanities education (SDG9 Industrial Innovation and Infrastructure).
4. Engaging in Community Service: Encouraging and supporting students and faculty to
participate in community service activities to give back to society and provide medical support.
5. Promoting International Exchange and Collaboration: The long-term goal of this center is
to align with international standards, advocate for the internationalization of medical
humanities, medical education, and research, and establish "quality education" (SDG4).
This aligns with the vision of achieving "medical services without disparities" (SDG10,
reducing inequalities) and pursuing the well-being of global citizens for "good health and
well-being" (SDG3). This includes collaboration with international medical academic institutions,
organizing international conferences and training programs, as well as providing exchange
programs and research cooperation opportunities.
